Little Riding Hood

ObraVersion.aspx?id=4984

Once upon a time, there was a very nice little girl named Chloe, although everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood because she always wore a red hooded jacket, a gift from her grandmother, which she never took off because she loved it so much.

One day, her mother said to her:

"Chloe, Grandma just called; she says she has a bit of a cold and doesn't have any kiwis, which she needs. Since she can't go out to buy any, she asked if you could take her the fruit."

"Of course, Mom!" replied Little Red Riding Hood, "I'd be delighted to go."

"Could you take her this little basket of fruit and her cell phone charger? She left it here yesterday, and she'll probably need it."

"Yes, Mom," replied Chloe.

"Don't forget to take the path through the park, and you know, don't talk to strangers!" her mother told her.

"Of course, Mom, I know!" “Little Red Riding Hood answered, putting on her red jacket.

She grabbed the little basket with the fruit and the charger. She left the house, crossed the street very carefully, and entered the park. Grandma lived just on the other side, so it was a very easy and practically safe walk.

Safe? Children, there's always danger, especially if you don't obey your mother.

It was a beautiful day. As she walked through the park, Little Red Riding Hood stopped to look at the flowers and listen to the birds, who were singing happily.

At that moment, a very tall, and somewhat strange, man crossed her path. He was wearing sunglasses and riding an electric scooter. He got off the scooter and said to Little Red Riding Hood:

“Hello, little one! Where are you going so happily?” asked the strange man, pretending to be friendly and using a voice that was far too sweet for his rough appearance.

“I'm going to my grandmother's house.” "She lives at the end of the park, in the little house surrounded by trees," Little Red Riding Hood replied, forgetting her mother's advice.

The man, who was very cunning, thought she was easy prey.

He took a shortcut on his scooter and arrived at Grandma's house before Little Red Riding Hood. He knocked on the door and, pretending to be a little girl, said:

"Grandma, it's me, Chloe! Open up!"

Grandma, who was lying on the sofa watching a TV show, didn't realize the deception and opened the door.

The man on the scooter grabbed her tightly and put her in the closet (without hurting her, of course). Then he put on his robe and glasses and lay down on the sofa, snuggled under the blanket.

When Little Red Riding Hood arrived and saw the supposed grandmother, she noticed something strange and said:

"Grandma, what big eyes you have!"

"It's so I can see you better!" said the man.

"And what big ears..."

"So I can hear you better!"

"And what a big mouth..."

"So..." And he lunged at Little Red Riding Hood.

But before he could bite the girl, a policeman came in who had seen the suspicious man on his scooter. He had realized he wasn't exactly trustworthy and had followed him.

"Stop right there, criminal!" shouted the policeman.

The man, frightened, ran away and promised never to bother the girls again.

The grandmother came out of the closet, safe and sound, tenderly hugged her granddaughter, and thanked the policeman.

From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood learned not to talk to strangers and to always obey her mother.

The criminal was punished by the law, as he deserved...

And that’s the end, the story’s done.
